Take off your coat, sit down, reach for the paper, watch TV ... and miss the greatest annual music festival of its kind anywhere! We're not too modest about this festival as you might have gathered by now - Wirral is the place to be, and we bring great players and musicians, performing great music in great surroundings - it's a pretty good deal! This is your invitation to come and join the party....the great music party that is the International Guitar Festival of Great Britain, here in Wirral, on Merseyside in the North West of England.

Now 18 years old and attracting performers from all over the World, we present a programme which has included concerts in pubs, ferry buildings, theatres, warehouses, concert halls, art galleries, a double-decker bus and a mediaeval priory. Guitarists from the USA, Belgium, Scotland, England, Australia, Spain, Africa, France, Holland, Cuba and Ukraine see Wirral as the guitarist's mecca in the UK and we are inundated with requests to play from all corners of the globe.

You will excuse me while we blow our own trumpet....this is the greatest annual celebration of the guitar and its music (ask the players and journalists), and will be buzzing from the 7th - 26th November. Players travel thousands of miles to play for you, tens of thousands of people have travelled hundreds of miles to party and stay over and composers have written thousands of pieces of music which have delighted players and audiences alike.
